Zakaat - Rules and modern issues

Zakaat should be given at the place of the owner or at the place of wealth?

Some rich people live at one place and have their showrooms, properties, business, etc. at another place.  There is a doubt as to where Zakaat should be spent – at the place of wealth or at the place of the owner?

In this regard, the Jurists have clarified that it is better to spend the Zakaat on the local poor people of the area where the wealth is there.  If Zakaat is given at the place where the owner resides or at some other place, even then it is valid, however, there is a degree of undesirability (Karahat) in it.
